On May 13th, 2019 the Niagara Ice Dogs made a huge announcement in support of the Port Colborne Girls Hockey Association. The Ice Dogs are hosting, in the Port Colborne Vale Centre the Barrie Colts. The proceeds from the fist Ice Dog's home game will be used to support the Port Colborne Girls Hockey Association. With this kind gesture, we can hold the line on registration at $450 per season.

Wow, what a night! The Niagara Ice Dogs had their pre-season home opener on Wave home ice tonight against the Barrie Colts, and wow what an exciting game. It was a real nail biter right to the end when the third period ended in a tie game forcing a shoot out. The Vale Centre was bursting at the seams and was at full capacity. Too bad the Ice Dogs lost in the shoot out. The Colts aren't the real winners here though, it was the Port Colborne Girls Hockey Association. We want to say thank you to the whole team of the Ice Dogs, as they donated the proceeds to the game to promote girls hockey in South Niagara. We will use this money to grow our program, and to keep ours one of the most affordable programs in Ontario. Thank, you Ice Dogs! Also a big shout out to Wendy's for your support and the free Frosty's and Burgers for the fans. It took a great night, and made it amazing.
